Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Easter Sunday took a very interesting turn. You could say our bases were loaded. From eggs in baskets to balls in catchers mitts our day was filled. We did the very traditional Easter celebrations and brunch, then at the suggestion of my husband we made an impromptu trip to Dodger Stadium for a great game against the San Francisco Giants. Check! One more item off our bucket list.

Once again we did a tour of all the levels so we could find the yummiest ballpark eats: chili cheese tots, pretzels, tortas and churros, and my favorite discovery, a true taste of home, a Hurricane. I took my time enjoying it and on occasion, if I closed my eyes and listen to the laughter and music it almost felt like home.

We were in the first row on our level so our views were unobstructed-which was excellent for our little guy-and it allowed us to sit back and relax during the innings. It was a win for the Dodgers and that was great; it was a wonderful way to enjoy the second half of Easter, but since it was family time it was also very precious. When my daughter pointed out the beautiful sunset over the stadium we took pictures trying to catch it, but sometimes you can’t capture things the way you like. The memory, and the people you’re sharing it with, do better justice than any picture possible could. Still, a girl can try.

Thank you Shannon for making our evening both fun and memorable! Here’s to the next few days, a few more bucket list items, and lots of quality time. Let’s go Quon fam let’s go!
