Threshold has to be the best homestyle brand Target ever created. Timeless, made with care and of high quality, the design is outstanding and it extends to even the smallest of products like their throws and blankets.
I have pretty basic needs when it comes to blankets. They need to be soft, unfussy, and easy to wash in case some illness from school finds it’s way home with one of the children (or one of the adults). And if they’re on sale, well, that tend to get my attention-especially since we’re a single income household. And wouldn’t you know? Tomorrow Target will begin a two day online sale on the 13th and 14th for their throw pillows and blankets.
I found a few blankets/throws I loved and wanted to share with you. They're incredibly stylish, and not only are they lightweight enough for layering but they're heavy enough to keep you warm at night as well. Added bonus? They look a lot more expensive than they really are.
Target understands. We all joke about walking in for one thing and leaving with 100 more, but maybe that’s because they’re onto something with their assortment and quality of products and we, the consumers, can appreciate that.
Threshold's brown linen and metallic blue ringspun cotton blanket had me at herringbone. Coming in a variety of colors, they’re yarn-dyed so the color lasts longer (a plus if you’re washing them a lot) and the herringbone pattern is a classic, adding instant sophistication to your bed, or if you buy the smallest size, your couch. Another winner is their traditional solid cotton blanket. Coming in two colors, grey or white, they’re also ringspun and like the herringbone blanket made of 100% cotton. My son has eczema so to find something that keeps him comfortable at night that won’t aggravate is a blessing. This is a blanket that came home with me and as you can see below, Jackson is enjoying it immensely!
But let’s switch gears for a moment and talk about the throws you have at the foot of your bed or leave out on your sofa, because let’s face it, when the tiniest change in the season appears we’re pulling out the boots, drinking the pumpkin spice latte's, and we are snuggling under the plushest throws we can find. And if you’re anything like me you may have a collection of throws stashed around your house...in your closets...in your cabinets...in your drawers. Maybe, if you’re like me, you have a slight problem. Thankfully, you’re not going to have a problem if you’re looking to inexpensively update your throws for the upcoming season.
Target always has a good selection (so good sometimes they’re picked over) and there are some I can already tell you will go fast once they’re on the shelves. It’s just another reason to take advantage of their online throw pillow and blanket sale on the 13th-14th. These three blankets are great because not only will they get you cozy as can be but one can even used as a blanket on your bed and another used as a wrap-double down on that versatility y’all!
I love Threshold’s sweater knit blanket in sour cream/hot coffeechenille throw blanket. While not a fan of the name (because it’s clearly a heathered oatmeal) this is a gorgeous throw made in a classic sweater knit weave. So even if the weather outside isn’t cooperating with the season, you’ll feel snug as a bug inside. Their chenille throw blanket in red is a fabulous option for bringing a touch of color through both cooler seasons. Snuggly soft, you may have to bribe your friends and family to get a moment to enjoy it, but it will be worth it! But this throw has to be my favorite. Do you remember when pashminas were all the rage? Well wraps are still in fashion and this super soft throw blanket in gray is not only a luxe cover up for home but if you have to run out, just keep it on. Slip it around your shoulders and let it add some casual elegance to your outfit.
So if y’all are looking for a touch of Fall to bring into your home this is the best (and probably more cost-effective) way to do it, and since they’ll be on sale...What do you have to lose? Cozy on up to this great deal and enjoy.
