Happy Birthday Jackson

Happy birthday to the little boy who has held my heart since the moment he arrived.

Today my little ninja, my wee miracle and precious joy, is nine. The routine has been the same: see my sweet girl off to cross country, kiss my husband farewell, brew coffee and sip in the momentary silence. But today there is a difference: today when my son stumbles out of bed, he’ll be a year older.

A year funnier. A year happier. A year more confident in who he is.

Today I wish my child who is always brimming with kindness and light, humor and mischief accompanied by a dimpled smile, the first of many happy days in his new year.
